Wiped Assets and Remediation Projects. Manually Marking as Remediated

Hi,

I’m creating static remediation projects for a variety of things, not least high risk assets.

Often the quickest course of action is to replace the device. The vulnerable device then being wiped.

Stale assets then fall off after 30 days on our settings, but those devices are still showing in remediation projects as unresolved.

Is there a way of manually marking an asset as having been remediated on all counts as it no longer exists?

I could use dynamic projects, but they’ll get noise from new devices being imaged showing up before updates get fully applied.

I need a way to mark a device as remediated in a static project as its removal doesn’t seem to do so.

Anyone got a solution for this?

As it stands whether a project is dynamic or static it will never get to 100% complete, there will always be devices going offline and being replaced, leading to incomplete actions.

I also have this problem. I have several servers that were included in remediation projects but have since been decommissioned. The server no longer exists but the remediation project cannot be completed because that asset still shows in the project as needing remediation.
