Why is the InsightIDR “automation” capability so limited? WE cannot create new automations, we cannot edit workflows or playbooks or create new ones. The limited capabilities in IDR without having to purchase yet another product, are woefully inadequate.

As I’ve noted elsewhere on a related discussion, the current documentation and marketing materials on the product site are pretty clear that there is a difference between the limited “automation” in InsighIDR and what InsightConnect provides as a value-add.
I’m still dumbounded why the base product does not allow ANY customization – like editing to add choice points and human intervention points, or even basic ability to tweak or modify the out of the box workflows / playbooks…

@thomas_morris I think they want you to get a taste of automation and then purchase InsightConnect.
