Long story short our on premise console is failing to update, scan engines are all fine. We’ve got a ticket open with R7 who have recommended a repair install, only issue is, when we run the installer exe, we are not getting the repair prompt. Installer wants to perform a complete new install from what we can see, with new global creds and postgres. Is there anyway to force the repair or has anyone had this issue before? Don’t want to have to go down the uninstall and restore from backup route if possible.
Hopefully, you’ve resolved this by now but, just in case, we had a similar problem where our console wouldn’t update following a migration to a new OS. We ran a repair with no issues and it updated, but only to the version of the update and it still failed to update automatically after that. Long story short, Rapid7 support reset our licensing (even though it all appeared OK in the console) and that fixed it.
