Trying to Resolve the hostname on networking devices

Is there a reason why even with credentials network devices cant resolve the hostnames but gets OS type?

I have experienced the same issues when I access a new device using SSH, I have not got to be bottom of it yet. When I access it via SNMP and SSH, I can retrieve the info.

What do you use to authenticate?

we use SSH. But we limited the template to only use the ssh option on the asset discovery or service discovery tab if Iā€™m not mistaken.
