Has anyone encountered an issue with the Scan Engine update? Despite updating the console to version 8.2.0 and the content version updated with latest date the Scan Engine is not updating. Even after rebooting both the console and the Scan Engine, the version remains outdated.
Any assistance or suggestions to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Just double checked and ours is OK. If you run a manual update via the console (Admin >> Console >> Update) do you see any errors or messages?
(I’ll make the assumption that you have automatic updates enabled with the Content and Product options ticked, so this should have happened anyway)
We are experiencing similar issues. Last week I opened a case regarding our content version not updating. According to Administration > Scan Engines status the last refresh was Saturday, April 19, 2025 07:11:50 AM and the last update says:
However, when I open the Administration > Run Commands and execute “ver” our “show content version” the content version is 1.1.3024. According to Rapid7 the latest version should be v1.1.3534. Rapid7 is recommending we upgrade our postgresql db to latest version and run a NeXpose repair install. Before we go through a db upgrade and NeXpose repair install, I am curious to know if others are experiencing similar issues.
