I’m wanting to create a scheduled report that shows rapid7 agents in an error state. Can this be done with a custom report/SQL query?
Agent info is in the cloud and not local to the console so a SQL report won’t get you what you want.
The quickest and easiest way to do it would be to go to agent management on the platform and look at the agents and filter down to the ones specifically in an error state. From there you can just export to CSV.
That’s what I was afraid of. You mentioned quick and easy way. Is there a long and painful way?
Unfortunately, the agents are handled on the platform and outside of any specific tool so none of the tool APIs have endpoints for Agent Management.
The Platform API only has endpoints for account controls like users, products, groups, etc
So unfortunately the answer is no, there is no long and painful way. Just the pain that it does not exist.
