**Was wondering if anyone is scanning VGs; if so are you all getting hostnames with ips and OS. The reason for asking is that we are only getting ip no hostnames and we are getting OS so that helps. ** Vulnerabilities show up and were all good there but cant get hostnames to pop up?
I would think it would pull in information that you would typically see from an nmap scan. having said that are they credentialed scans? are your VG’s in dns?
Hi Pete, yes authenticated. I think i remember now we put in a feature request to require on networking devices to do “show hostname” cause looking back at my cases i think we don’t have dns records set up for them. That is why…You reminded me when you mentioned the dns. Thanks!
