Modify agent's schedule for sending vulnerability data

I would like to configure the sync scheduled used by the Insight agent, so that it is more frequent than the default 6 hours, as mentioned in this article:

How can this schedule be modified?

Or, if this is not possible - how can an immediate sync be forced so that installed updates are reflected in the console?

As far as I’m aware it’s not possible. That’s what I have been told by support in the past.
I run authenticated scans on assets for anyone who can’t wait the six hours (which was the advice at the time).

I’ll be keeping an eye on this should it not be the case anymore.

Does this mean that you can trigger a scan yourself manually? If so can you advise how you do this?

I’ve tried restarting the Rapid 7 win service and even rebooting the machine but the scan does not seem to be triggered for a few hours (presumably on this fixed 6 hour schedule)

Have a dedicated user/service account created solely for the use of scanning, add these credentials to a Site and configure with a relevant template (Full audit without Web Spider) and scan engine. I’d recommend you add a distributed engine if you haven’t done so already. Once this is in place just add any assets to the site as and when you need to run a manual scan.
