How did you do your setup for the Microsoft Teams plugin setup? Create an app in Azure portal and create a service account? Any suggestions?
Hi @hayden_redd, this setup documentation for the Microsoft Teams plugin for InsightConnect describes the configuration process: https://docs.rapid7.com/insightconnect/microsoft-teams (you do use the portal to create an Azure AD application with the correct permissions ). Check it out and let us know if you have any other questions!
nice thank you! so to extend the question, do you have an app for o365 mail plugin and then another app for teams?
No problem! Yes - we have a plugin for Microsoft Teams (https://extensions.rapid7.com/extension/microsoft_teams) and then a Microsoft Office 365 Email plugin (https://extensions.rapid7.com/extension/microsoft_office365_email).You can find the setup documentation for the Microsoft Office 365 Email plugin here: https://docs.rapid7.com/insightconnect/office365
I mean to say, should we create an Azure app for o365 and then an app for Teams, but still using the same service account for both?
You can, it’s up to you and how your security model is set up. You can have an Azure App for Teams, and an Azure app for O365. Or you can one app that has permissions to both services.
Either way will work.
