UPDATE: AS OF 1:00 PM EASTERN, THE NEW TAB IN "AGENT MANAGEMENT, THAT CONTAINS THE NEW INSTALLERS, WAS MADE AVAILABLE - PLEASE SEE MY REPLY TO COMMENTOR BELOW, WHERE I ADD SCREENSHOTS OF THE NEW FEATURES
Are we still getting the PKG and other installers for MacOS and Linux - this was supposed to be available Today?
I was counting on this happening, but am now in a tough position due to this not being the case.
This is what had been announced for being effective as of today:
The agent Installer download experience will be moving to a new tab in Agent Management on May 15, 2024. No action is required until this date.
To provide you with a better way to deploy your agents, we will be substituting the current .sh Linux and Mac installers with new .rpm, .deb, and .pkg installers
If you are using the current .sh installer, don’t worry! Your agents will continue to update as usual and you will have until November 15 to switch deployment with the newer versions
As stated, this announcement has failed to materialize. And the page that showed it was planned has been taken down: https://docs.rapid7.com/insight-agent/insight-agent-version-history/
So has this plan been completely scrubed, I desperately need to know this for plans made around the announcement.
This is screen where, previously, you could click and see the details of the planned “New Tab” that would contain the PKG, etc, installers for MacOS and Linux
Now that takes you to this - so I am wondering, should I not be counting on having a PKG installer available to for our MacOS devices?
