I am trying to configure custom DNS settings per site. Is there a way to set site DNS or does the scanner pull its DNS from the host only?

Hi Cloyd,
The DNS resolution is happening on the scan engine that scans each host. If you’re using different engines for each site, you can add your domain suffixes in the DNS suffix search list on the scan engines themselves. If your scan engines are attempting to resolve DNS records for multiple domains, you can include all of the domains your engines would need to search.

How can you set up the DNS suffix search list on the scan engine? It is very much locked down. When I run the nslookup command, there is no DNS server setup to resolve any DNS. I can’t find a way to set up the DNS with normal Linux commands because the distributed scan engine is pretty much stripped down. There is no netplan folder nor running dnsutils etc…
