We’re in the process of making some changes to Plugin updates on the InsightConnect Workflows page, and we would love to hear your thoughts on the upcoming enhancement.
What’s changing?
Currently we notify you when a workflow contains a plugin with an available update by displaying an orange notification on each workflow:
Why change?
Based on feedback from our customers, we are going to remove this orange notification from the workflows page. We have repeatedly heard from you about the pain created when trying to apply plugin updates to active workflows. This orange dot notification encourages users to apply updates, even though most plugin updates extend capabilities or add new actions so you can automate new things. Most of these plugin enhancements don’t improve existing workflows. On the rare occasion when a plugin update contains a breaking change, we’ll be sure to notify you in the in-product Plugin Updates resource. You will still be able to update plugins on the workflows page by accessing the ‘Update Plugins’ action in the workflow context menu:
