Cant Add an AWS Asset Sync Connection

Hello,

I am currently on the trial version of InsightVM, wanting to set up vulnerability management for my AWS accounts, can’t seem to add an AWS connection. It does not show up under my drop-down. Do I have to do something extra? Or is it due to my trial account limiting me?

Administration>Discovery Options>Connections>Manage

Im not sure if the trial version doesnt allow for connections or not but you can check in the licensing portion Administration > Console Administer > Licensing to see.

However i have seen that AWS option act weirdly when using IPL. I suggest logging out and logging back in with a local console user and checking for that setting immediately after logging in to see if the option appears from the drop down. I think the issue has to do with whole the user session is handled. There is currently a project to fix that bug.

I seem to be having the same issue when trying to add a new Discovery Connection. I cannot see AWS in the drop down?

Did you find the root cause for this? I am not using an IPL? I’m currently on a trial version
