Cannot delete agent after InsightIDR trial

Hi everyone,

I just finished a monthly trial for the InsightIDR.
I obviously do not have access anymore to the Insight’s dashboard, and in the data collection management it says that no agent is deployed (again, sounds legit).
Yet I still have a collector.exe and rapid 7 agent working as active processes, and cannot delete them somehow.

I tried to used the installer to delete the agent, but it stops after a while because of this:
“Another application has exclusive access to the file C:\path\to\the\file\agent_core.log”

Any help would be welcomed !

@ehaddad can you stop the Insight Agent service and then attempt to run the uninstall via Control Panel?

If you still have the installer then run the installer again and choose the uninstall option, for Windows. For Linux there is an uninstall script you can run.
