This new plugin enables an InsightConnect workflow to manage all aspects of a BMC Helix Incidents and incident work items. Below are some of the most popular plugin’s actions and use cases.

The connection configuration accepts the following parameters:

  • baseUrl
  • sslVerify
  • usernamePassword

Actions:

  • Create Incident
  • Modify Incident
  • Get Incident
  • Get Incident Work Information
  • Create Problem Investigation
  • Create Task

Details:

Create Incident

This action allows an incident to be created

Use Case:
When InsightConnect receives a new incident from IDR or IVM, a new Incident is created for a team to pick up.

Create Task

This action is used to create a task related to an incident.

Use Case:
As a security Admin, I want to add tasks to an incident to help triage the issue based on findings.
