We’ve noticed that our AWS scan that starts at 8AM on the schedule takes 20+ Hours to complete.
If we run a manual scan with the same scan engine, Template, same time frame it only takes 3-4 hours to complete. The manual scan is also able to complete a few more assets than the one that takes 20+ hours.
We have gone through everything to see if there is anything Different but can’t find anything other than one is scheduled.
I know this may sound crazy but have you tried deleting that scheduled scan and then re-creating it? The only other thing I could think of that would affect the time would be the scope of the scheduled scan. But that would typically make the scheduled scan run faster than a manual scan given it’s smaller scope of assets. Ensure that the scheduled scan isn’t built off a dynamic asset group or something to that nature.
